HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ERICH MENDELSOHN AWARD
The Erich Mendelsohn Award 2023 for Brick Architecture welcomes entries from architects, architectural teams and architectural/engineering teams.
Participants must be the intellectual creators of the buildings they submit and must demonstrate that...
- the façade of the submitted building is made of brick and that the design of the façade has special architectural merit.
- the submitted project was not already nominated for the Fritz Höger Award 2020 and the project was completed after January 1, 2018.
When and how can projects be submitted?
Entries can be submitted via the online submission portal from January 9th through April 30. Register/log in with your architect profile at erich-mendelsohn-preis.com and upload your projects to "My Projects".
Two new features should be noted for the Erich Mendelsohn Award 2023 for Brick Architecture: you can upload the submission documents directly and exclusively online. The online submission portal allows participants to interrupt their registration as often as they wish and to continue it at a later date until final submission.
Furthermore, a participation fee will also be charged for the first time that will be used exclusively to cover the increased administrative costs and to maintain the usual high quality of external communications. The participation fee applies to each project and is to be paid immediately when online submission is made. The Newcomer Award is exempted from the participation fee.
The participation fee is EUR 197 plus VAT (in the Early Bird phase until February 28th EUR 159 plus VAT).
Please note that that only complete documents submitted by the due date can be considered by the jury. The declaration of copyright sent to participants immediately after they submit their project must be signed and added to the application by e-mail (info@erich-mendelsohn-preis.com) or by post (Erich Mendelsohn Award for Brick Architecture, Am Mittelhafen 10, 48155 Münster). The project will be considered eligible for the competition once the declaration of copyright has been received.
