Pedro & Juana

Pedro&Juana is not about Juana&Pedro. It is about collaboration, working on various things with different people. It is about escaping attributions and combining professions. The situations developing out of these approaches can take place in the form of a domestic interior public square, a table turn bench turn performance, better conversations through cooking a piglet and teaching volcanic rocks to talk. 

Pedro&Juana is a studio from Mexico City, founded by Ana Paula Ruiz Galindo and Mecky Reuss, that works on a variety of projects across creative professions, with work exhibited at the MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program, New York (2019), the MCA Chicago (2016), the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles (2016), the Museo del Chopo in Mexico City (2024), the Chicago Architecture Biennial (2015), and, as part of the collective Chinampa Veneta, the Mexican Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2025). They have completed and ongoing architectural work in Mexico, Italy and the United States, and conduct ongoing research as part of the collective La Liga de la Madera for a systemic portrait of the Mexican forest as it reshapes a more sustainable built environment. Their work has been published internationally. They have taught and lectured at various universities throughout the U.S. and Mexico.
